Restart NSW - In June 2011, the NSW Government established Restart NSW, to fund a range of high priority future infrastructure projects in NSW.

Infrastructure NSW is responsible for independently assessing and making recommendations to the NSW Government for use of the funds to ensure they are allocated where they are needed most.

The objective of Restart NSW is to improve the economic growth and productivity of the State by funding essential infrastructure, including:

  • Public transport
  • Roads
  • Infrastructure that may improve the competitiveness of the State
  • Local infrastructure in regional areas that are affected by mining operations
  • Health facilities
  • Workplaces for frontline government staff
